Diabetes is a condition of chaotic metabolism, usually because of a combination of genetic and environmental reasons, which leads to unusually high levels of blood sugar. There are several causes of diabetes; here is a list of a few such reasons:

Diabetes can be divided into two main parts Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes. Both these forms have there own causes of occurring:

Type I diabetes

Type1 Diabetes is a disease which occurs due to the presence of violent natured cells inside the body. According to the studies, the main factors that lead to this disease are- bad genes, bad diet, and ecology.

Another reason that can lead to the development of type 1 diabetes is the discharge of certain hormones in the blood that operate as adversaries to insulin.

Type 2 diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes happens when the body creates sufficient insulin but is incapable of using it efficiently. This form of diabetes generally matures in the late thirties. Moreover, most of the people suffering from it are overweight. It is generally found in older people and the ones with a family history of this disease. Numerous risk factors are accountable for type 2 diabetes and, the higher the risk factors inside the individual, the higher the probability for diabetes.

Hereditary:

According to the studies, an individual can be affected by diabetes due to genetic factors. For example, if you have close relative suffering from diabetes, then you are likely to be affected by the disease yourself.

Age:

As age increases, so does the chances of developing diabetes. It has been found that more than eighty per cent of people develop diabetes after the age of fifty.

Poor Diet:

A bad diet is one of the biggest causes of diabetes. An individual who consumes foods which are low in fibre, proteins and nutrition is more likely to develop diabetes than an individual with a healthy nutritional regime.

Sedentary Lifestyle:

Lack of proper physical exercise is another reason for the development of diabetes. People who have a very sedentary life invite diabetes.

Stress:

Excessive stress due to any reason can lead to diabetes.

Diabetes is more common in women than men, especially women with PCOS.
